Drinking Water Quality Control

​ERSAR is the national authority for drinking water quality. Is responsible for ensuring compliance with the respective legislation so that water quality is safe and appropriate for consumers.

Regulation of drinking water quality mainly encompasses:

  • Annual approval of the operators' water quality control programmes;
  • Supervision of its implementation, in liaison with health authorities;
  • Assessment and benchmark of operators.
